BEYOND THE LINE
EVEN WORDS CAN KILL
As Pope Leo XIV states:
Even words can kill *

…the same applies to architecture when it becomes the expression of an imbalanced power, unaware of the ecological disruption it can cause, the depletion of resources, and the damage to the landscape.

Conscious Architecture aims to
“not generate conflict”,
which is not a passive peace,
but rather the
non-destructive harmonization of forces.
This principle echoes
in multiple spiritual
and philosophical traditions,
from Hinduism to Buddhism,
from Islam to Christianity,
which place harmony
as the ultimate goal.
.
.
.
From a practical standpoint,
this translates into a
constant dialogue between
ethics and aesthetics:
ETHICS tèchne
responsibility, sustainability,
centrality of the person
Aesthetics archè
form, imagination,
relationship with the landscape
The architect thus assumes the role of mediator between the forces of the project: interests, environment, values, quality, and hidden impacts.
