Passionate about eco-efficient architecture and design culture, he graduated in 2012 with a degree in Architecture Technology from the University of Bologna. He was awarded a scholarship at the London-based environmental consultancy firm, Natural Cooling Ltd. This opportunity allowed him to explore the English market and further his architectural education by immersing himself in the environment of the AA School of Architecture and Westminster University.
As a LEED Green Associate and Passivhaus Tradesperson Trainer, he has worked on a wide range of projects, including residential interventions, office complexes, and commercial spaces. In each project, he has strived to synthesize technological solidity with the creative and conceptual meaning of space, believing that Beauty and Responsibility should find a common language in architectural design.
He has dedicated time to education and teaching, serving as a lecturer at IED Milan and as a tutor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Bologna. He has published several articles and contributions in the field of efficient architecture, and has also acted as a thesis advisor.
As a delegate of CNAPPC (National Council of Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, and Conservators) for the European Project PROF/TRAC, he has been involved in various models of technical collaboration for Ecological Transition. He founded the Inizio Lavori network, specializing in energy retrofitting in the Romagna region, and the HappyWay Italia network, focused on technical and financial consultancy and integrated engineering design for CO2 emissions reduction and energy requalification.
In 2017, he established the architectural design firm Pier Currà Architettura srl in Romagna, which has now become one of the top 200 firms in Italy based on revenue.

Priya was born in Vaythiri (India) and after her classical high school path she moved to Florence to study art history, her great passion. After graduating in museology, she took part in the organisation and the setting up of exhibitions in art galleries at “EX3 Center for Contemporary Art in Florence”. She also collaborated in research activities with the MAXXI in Rome for the conference “Masaccio Prize : History and Projects ”and has followed for several years the organisation of the Artist’s Film Festival“ The screen of art ”, managing collateral exhibitions and the portfolio.

After various experiences in the teaching field, she continued her training in the world of culture and obtained a first level master’s degree at the Sole 24 Ore Business School in “Management of Cultural Heritage”.

Subsequently, she was selected by the Emilia-Romagna region for the advanced training course at the Cineteca di Bologna concerning the digital archiving of tapes. Among the most recent experiences there is the preparation of the exhibition by Daniela Poletti, glass artist, for the Fuorisalone event (Milan 2018) and the organisation of exhibition and training events for the lighting companies FLOS, Viabizzuno, Exenia and BEGA .

She is currently the co-founder and administrator of the Pier Currà Architettura design firm, where she takes care of the artistic contribution to the project and she is the referent for the cultural projects aimed at promoting the dissemination of the culture of architecture, art and design.

Riccardo Minghini

Riccardo is our senior project manager. Design, organise and develop. He studied Architectural Design at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, before graduating in Architecture from the University of Ferrara in 2005. After starting his career as a landscape architect with the WEST8 team from Rotterdam NL, he trained in Mario Cucinella’s teams in Italy as project leader on numerous international projects.

In 2015 he moved with his family to Paris where he lived and worked for 6 years as project director in the new team of AAAB architecture projects, participating in numerous urban and real estate rehabilitation operations, managing among others the “INSPIRE” affair in Puteaux and participating since the conception phase in numerous projects including “SWAYS” in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, “UPSIDE” in Nanterre and the “ISM campus” in Dakar, Senegal.

Among his most important experiences, he has worked on several projects at different scales, from their design to their completion, in Italy, France, Russia, Montenegro, Morocco and Senegal.

Riccardo joined the company in 2021 as project manager. Passionate about travel, and the cultures in which the projects are immersed, his approach to work allows us to create projects with a strong identity, thanks to the search for solid and complete solutions based on complex parameters. With a strong experience in the theme of sustainable development in architecture, he pays particular attention to the use and organisation of space, seeking identity and empathy.

Stefano Sintini

After his scientific high school diploma and a master’s degree in Building Engineering and Architecture at the University of Bologna, Stefano began his professional activity in 2006, dividing himself between the cities of Cesena and Bologna. In this double context, he has the opportunity to gain experience on various project scales, engaging in interventions in the management, industrial, school, sports and residential fields, implemented on buildings subject to renovation and restoration, or newly built.

Passionate about construction techniques, he takes care of the project from the initial conception phase to the construction detail that allows its concrete realisation, integrating architectural sensitivity and search for the best technical solution.

At the end of 2020 he began collaborating with the firm, where he currently plays the coordination role in the “construction” sector, and directs the internal section of the company that deals with the technical commissioning of external projects with access to tax deductions.

Paola Mussoni

Paola is our Project Manager, she has ten years of experience in managing complex multidisciplinary projects thanks to skills in data, change management and technology. She graduated in 2001 in Management Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Before getting to know our studio, Paola worked for over 20 years in multinationals, she started in the automotive sector then in the wellness sector.

Among her successes, as product marketing expert, there is the introduction on the market of innovative products in the field of group training. These solutions are currently very successful in gyms all over the world. Her work is always guided by the satisfaction of all the people who use, live and work the solutions she proposes.

During her career she has acquired specific skills in the analysis and synthesis of economic data aimed at directional choices, this has allowed her to play a role of management control and strategic marketing within the firm. Paola is convinced that her transversal and extra-sector skills can support the growth of our reality to differentiate it and make it a reference point.

Nicolas graduated with honour in 2018  in Architecture at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna, presenting a thesis entitled “The track continues. Proposal for the museum building of the archaeological park of Galeata “, together with the Spanish architect José Ignacio Linazasoro. He collaborated in Madrid in the Pesquera y Asociados arquitectos studio, confronting himself with the Spanish design reality. For the academic year 2018-2019 he held the role of assistant in the Laboratory of Architectural Design III at the University of Bologna with Professor Luca Conti of the SUPSI University of Lugano.

His aesthetic research is constantly moved by the many passions ranging from painting to sculpture. As a frequent visitor to markets, he is always on the hunt for objects full of history and culture, from ancient books to watches. During his studies he approaches the photography of the urban landscape and architecture with Professor Guido Guidi. To this day, this continues to be a passion, a research and a work with exhibitions and projects on commission.

Since 2018 he has been practising freelance with the Pier Currà Architettura studio as a project architect, mainly dealing with small and medium-scale residential projects, fashion retails in Europe, Asia and Latin America, architecture for catering and offices. His international experiences have led him to a respectful approach to architecture that becomes a combination of places, materials and atmospheres.

Matteo graduated in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Architecture at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna. He presented a thesis entitled “The places of living. Identity of the contemporary residence – L’Aquila 2010, Colle dell’Addolorata, new residences for the reconfiguration of an urban fabric “, together with the architect Stefania Rossi. Following the tragic seismic event in Abruzzo in 2009, he collaborated with “Collettivo99” to develop a design much more aware of the specific environment of this area.

Following graduation, he worked with various realities in the provincial territory, taking care of his own training to develop the ability to manage the authorization and construction process of the all-round building artefact.

He dealt with small and medium-scale residential works, productive construction works, infrastructural systems and urban planning.
He understands the centrality of installation design related to the energy efficiency of buildings, so as to lead it to become a designted energy certifier of the Emilia Romagna.

These interests lead him to approach architecture looking for the right compromise between aesthetics and functionality.

He is not just an architect; he loves nature and living in it whenever he has the chance. For over 15 years, he has provided voluntary service as an educator and trainer within AGESCI/Scout Movement .

In his professional career, the study of town planning legislation is always central, weaving fruitful collaborations with council technical offices, so that the design choices can materialise in the finished work.

Giovanni graduated in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Construction Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna, presenting an experimental degree thesis on the management of Construction-Civil Construction Sites with the Quality System. In same year, he obtained his licence to practise as a Building profession of Building Engineer.

In 1999 he founded the Studio Tecnico Ceroni of technical services integrated engineering and architecture services, acquiring qualifying skills in the fields of fire prevention, building site safety, environmental acoustics, energy certification, management and disposal of asbestos, design of wooden houses and buildings, NZEB buildings, to name a few. For more than five years, he has worked as a technical-commercial employee on medium and large construction sites dimensions in civil and industrial construction companies leaders in the Romagna region. In 2004, he founded his own construction company in the of Civil and Industrial construction, realising buildings of civil housing, with traditional and wooden technologies, industrial buildings and works to complete urbanised areas.  In 2012 he enrolled in the register of CTUs for the Court of Ravenna.

Giovanni is passionate about literature and art in all its expressions. In his spare time he visits museums, exhibitions theatres and cities of art.

Luca graduated in 2001 from the University of Studies of Florence, obtaining a degree in Architecture specialising in “Architectural Restoration”. He presented a thesis entitled “Il Quadraturismo in the villas of 1600/700 in Romagna” with a mark 105/110.

He started his profession at an architectural studio of architecture in Cesena and later moved to moved to Bologna for about ten years, where he collaborated with design studios, dealing with urban planning, building architectural executions, work supervision, accounting safety coordination. Luca has obtained the title of competent technician in acoustics, energy certifier and participated in the advanced training course on building pathologies. This technical training has given him a comprehensive view of the process of realising of architectural work.

In addition to architecture, he also works on objects and furnishing accessories made of wood and metal; in his spare time he enjoys reading architectural essays, spends time with his animals, on motorbikes and playing sports.

Since 2021 he has been working with the Pier Currà Architettura studio as technical director and responsible for the executive design.

Vincenzo is our energy and climate expert in charge of the agency’s R&D. He graduated in architecture at the University of Bologna, in Italy, in 2017. He wrote an experimental thesis in Sustainable Architecture, with the object of designing a prototype of a high energy performance residence for the Solar Decathlon Middle East and therefore contextualised in a climate extreme like the Arabian desert. The same year he introduced himself to the profession of architect and then devoted himself, from 2018 to 2021, to university research as a Research Fellow at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna. He has the opportunity to collaborate on POR FESR projects coordinated by UNIBO and CIRI as well as to deepen his knowledge on energy and environmental issues by experimenting with the use of energy modelling and fluid dynamics softwares. He has more than 20 publications to his credit, including peer reviewed academic articles, conference proceedings and a book for technicians.

Vincenzo ends his academic interlude in 2021 by joining the Studio Team at the beginning of 2022.

His passion for environmental and sustainable issues, and his desire to share them with the world, push him to keep himself constantly updated, thus enriching the knowledge of the Firm. This attitude strengthens the firm’s design approach by providing support both in the preliminary phase, during the definition of forms and strategies, and in the definitive phase for verifying the performance capabilities of the buildings.
